Philippine's Batangas Port Hits Record Cargo Volume in November

The Batangas International Port (Batangas Pier) in Philippines said that Batangas Container Terminal (BCT), managed by Asian Terminals Inc.(ATI), has continuously stepped up its role as international trade facilitator in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and has effectively helped decongest Metro Manila roads.

Early in November, BCT achieved a new operations milestone of 200,000-TEU cargo volume mark for the first time in a single year since its start-up in 2010, and meant reducing over 100,000 truck trips along Metro Manila roads, with more consignees routing containerized cargoes via south Luzon’s preferred international gateway port.

BCT is strategically located near Calabarzon’s major manufacturing zones and is seamlessly connected to modern road infrastructure, delivering greater advantages to the supply-chain.
